Amidst the recent growing demand of pumps for irrigation and flood control in Southeast Asia, Ebara Vietnam Pump Co., Ltd. (EVPC), a subsidiary of Ebara Corporation of Japan, who is one of the leading pump manufacturers in the world, opened a new foundry in Hai Duong, Vietnam.

Partial operation of the new foundry started in October 2013 and an opening  ceremony was  held on December 3, 2013. By opening this foundry, Ebara  established an improved  manufacturing network that can supply large-scale  pumps for irrigation, flood control etc.  more quickly to Vietnam and other  areas of Southeast Asia.
Officials from Hai Duong and Hanoi were invited to the opening ceremony. The attendees  were given a tour of the foundry to observe the sophisticated dissolving and casting operations based on highly advanced Ebara manufacturing technology.
There are currently over 1,000 Ebara pumps in Vietnam that are active not only in irrigation and flood control, but also in industry and tap water supply.
When heavy floods attacked Hanoi city in 2008, Ebara pumps installed at the Yen So Pump Station in southern Hanoi operated non-stop for one week to contribute remarkably in preventing flood damage from worsening. In addition to the need for flood control, there is an increasing demand in Southeast Asia for clean water and sewage facilities owing to an increasing population, as well as increased water infrastructure needs due to the construction of new commercial buildings and industrial complexes stemming from a growing economy.
Ebara pumps create a stable and reliable water supply for customers because of a wide range line-up of pumps and its high efficiency and quality.

It has been over 50 years since the Ebara Group established a presence in Southeast Asia and it is dedicated to continuing its efforts which contribute to the development of societies and industries in Vietnam and Southeast Asia by providing products and services for pumps and related equipment.
