The seminar consisted of a lecture on vibration analysis in the morning and a practical session in the afternoon.
With the demand for pumps as measures for irrigation and flood control growing in recent years in Southeast Asia, interest in pump technology is increasing. With its extensive delivery record for pumps in the Southeast Asia region, Ebara started its operation of a new plant in Vietnam this fall in order to create a system that allows for prompt provision of pumps.
Furthermore, on December 4, 2013, Ebara held a seminar on pump vibration analysis technology at the Hanoi University of Industry (HaUI). Pumps that are beneficial in irrigation and flood control may have negative effects on the areas surrounding the pump station, or the main shaft may break if there are strong sympathetic vibrations. Vibration analysis, which analyzes various factors, including sympathetic vibrations, is extremely important technology for the continued stable operation of the pumps. This is the third year in which Ebara has held a seminar at HaUI, and there were 29 participants, mainly university lecturers.
The seminar consisted of a lecture on vibration analysis in the morning and a practical session in the afternoon. During the practical session, participants tapped the motor mount with hammers to measure natural frequencies, and operated the motor in order to produce sympathetic vibrations and compare them with the vibration analysis results of normal motor operation.
In 1989, the EBARA CORPORATION established the EBARA Hatakeyama Memorial Fund (EHMF) to deepen mutual understanding, mainly with Southeast Asian countries, through international cooperation by means of technical guidance and other efforts. Since its establishment, the EHMF has held a total of 237 seminars in various locations around Southeast Asia, with more than 11,000 participants. In FY2013, six seminars have held in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Myanmar and two seminars are planned in Indonesia, and other locations.
EBARA CORPORATION’s founding was based on the designing and manufacturing of pumps. It will continue to actively contribute to the development of Southeast Asian countries by not only providing pump related products and services, but also through international cooperation activities such as technical seminars./.
